Our clients consist of landowners, businesses and communities.  They either own the reach of river of interest or have been granted permission to make use of it – usually on the basis of a rental being paid back to the owners.

Landowners don’t need to own the full reach or both banks, but it does definitely help.  And communities can often be surprised at how accommodating local landowners can be.

The Forestry Commission Scotland is a case in point – they are actively encouraging communities to develop smaller schemes using burns on land they own or manage..
